In week 28, Billund BioRefinery was represented at the Singapore Water Week. From Veolia’s stand at the exhibition, Bjarne Bro and Theis Gadegaard exchanged information with potential customers, and they participated in various business fora etc. The Minister for Environment and Food, Mr Esben Lunde Larsen also stopped off at the exhibition, and on several occasions the Minister highlighted Billund Biorefinery as an example of leading Danish environmental technology.

From Singapore, the trip continued to Indonesia in week 29 with meetings in Jakarta and Yogyakarta. Through professional assistance from the Danish Embassy, a meeting was set up with Jakarta’s official wastewater utility company, PAL Jaya, and in the course of 2 days packed with meetings and site visits, it was agreed to continue working on a concept of wastewater and waste in which authorities etc. are to be involved.

The trip continued to Yogyakarta, where meetings had been arranged with the Chamber of Commerce and the local university, UN Veteran. During the 3 days in Yogyakarta, we managed to secure an agreement and a Letter of Interest (LoI) signed by the Crown Princess Mangkubumi herself. Meetings were also held with Prince Wironegoro (married to Her Royal Highness, Crown Princess Mangkubumi), who is in charge of the development of infrastructure etc.
